John Bergman? Saw Table Question...

John,

I've been wondering what your thoughts would be on saw table surfaces.

Your salesperson (Steve) told me that you recommend wood as the "replaceable" surface for cutting Slabs (http://www.VerdeUbatuba.com) with your (GMM) saws. Is this your personal recommendation? If so, please explain.

My understand (http://maplered.com) ing was that many saw tables are concrete/mortar because that Material (http://g654.org) is easily replacable and (http://maplered.com) also helps in keeping the saw blade diamonds "open". I realize the possible negative of ending up with a table that is not flat after several top-coatings of mortar/concrete. Could that the main/only reason for recommending wood?

I appreciate your (and (http://maplered.com) others) thoughts on this subject.
